Red Bender MK 1.5 Fuzz Tonebender "Gary Hurts 1960s"
The "Red Bender" replica of Tonebender MK 1.5 Gary Hurts 1960s.
The Tone Bender ‘MK1.5’ was an influential two-transistor fuzz box that was built by Sola Sound in the mid-1960s.
The exact origins of the ‘MK1.5’ are still in dispute, and there is no consensus as to whether the model was conceived by Gary Hurst, by Dick Denney, or perhaps by somebody else altogether.
To the classic volume & attack controls I have added an external bias that makes it an infinitely versatile effect.
Handcrafted & handwired point to point circuit.
Loosely based on the Tonebender MK 1.5 Gary Hurts circuit.
At Luxury Tone Fx we continue to build unique pieces.
