Zonk Machine Fuzz
Loosely based on "The Zonk" originally produced in the late 1960s, "Zonk Project" is a more consistent alternative to the MKI Zonk.
A textured fuzz with octave overtones.
The sound is closer to the original Zonk, featuring the characteristic crumbly gated tones Zonk players expect. Compared to the germanium version, the sound is a little more aggressive, a little less soft and chewy, but nevertheless.
Roll off the guitar volume and you can get a decently clean signal.
SWELL: Volume.
COLECTOR: Fuzz/Bias - This control acts a little like a fuzz and a little like a bias and give a wide range of really usable settings .
CHARACTER/TEXTURE: This is a pot to control the texture of the fuzz, it adds even more graininess - this reduces sustain and the note crackle, especially effecting the decay adding a much more 'crumbly' nature.
Built using vintage silicon transistors, and high spec new components, NICHICON electrolitic and NOS PIO (Paper in Oil) capacitors, carbon resistors, Amphenol jacks and alpha pots & Gavitt USA fabric-covered tinned copper wire.
The differences between Si and Ge in this circuit are much more subtle than you think. Buy one and see for yourself....
Constructing the entire circuit ‘Point to Point’ only using the components, there's no boards or circuit traces to dilute your signal purity.
We build vintage effects in a way you never seen before.
All pedals "Luxury Tone Fx" are handcrafted by myself A. M. Martos.
